Guest Booker with JJ Dillon from Kayfabe Commentaries is the third installment in the Guest Booker series which has seen former ECW employee and current ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky tells us how WWE should of booked the new ECW, and also had Kevin Sullivan re book the big year of 1984 for the WWF, but unlike the prior two DVDs, Guest Booker with JJ Dillion doesnt look back on a specific event or company but instead focuses in on writing weekly wrestling television leading up to a supercard PPV.

 I cant count how many times someone has come to me asking why so and so did a run in on raw, why so and so jobbed out to someone, or why a certain mid card match is being featured so high on a card following a big title match. After watching this DVD I now have a new favorite wrestling reference tool that I will recommend to people when they come to me and ask those questions.

JJ Dillion is a perfect candidate for this DVD, for many years he sat beside Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson  and booked some of the biggest years in the companys history, later he was also part of  WCW, not to mention his time in the NWA before being part of either of the big companies and thus there is no doubt that his vast experience in the wrestling world makes him qualified to speak on the subject of writing weekly television.

 The features format is as follows : JJ is given 4 weeks to lead up to a huge interpromotional PPV card, during which he must book 3 weeks of A and B television shows as well as a Saturday Night network special. JJ takes you through the month, explaining each booking and then leads up to and books the actual PPV while explaining where each match should go, who should go over and why. He also takes time to discuss how things were done in the WWF with Vince McMahon such as how a arena was chosen for a tv taping, how booking meetings worked and much more.

 The Supercard is as follows :  Hulk Hogan & Dusty Rhodes vs Ric Flair & Arn Anderson, Champion vs Champion : Bret Hart vs Sting, Undertaker vs Nikolai Volkoff, Brian Pillman vs Owen Hart, Cactus Jack vs Sycho Sid, Shawn Michaels vs Rick Rude, and The Steiners vs Money Inc

 I think this DVD is great and a must own for any fan who ever wonders what goes into a feud on a weekly television basis, its also a learning tool for anyone who wants to consider being involved in a wrestling companys booking directions. Hands down this is another winning project from Kayfabe Commentaries.
